My Bakery Cart Plan

My Bakery Cart Plan

Hi there! With my bakery box business and my online community growing, I've been having less and less time to bake. This is leaving me in a predicament when it comes to my bakery cart so I needed a better plan for sure.
Here's what I plan to do:

I'm going to start out with some "theme days" to peak interest of those in my community. My cart will consist of mostly supplemental items now and only 1-2 signature baked good. I've been operating the cart completely opposite of that (loads of baked goods and 1-2 supplemental items).
My first theme day will be a candy theme! I did some Tik Tok research on current trending candy and then I purchased a lot of candy in bulk. My cart will have Pink Piglet candy (super cute and delicious), chocolate covered gummy bears, pineapple gummy bears, strawberry banana gummy bears, and chocolate covered cookie dough. These will also be packaged in 6 oz clear plastic jars with cute labels.
Here's How I Plan to Market This...
I am going to be very strategic when it comes to marketing. First and foremost will be the packaging on the candy. I will need to ensure it is so ADORABLE that people will actually want to visit the cart.
Second, I'm going to offer a main signature item to make the cart even more appealing. This signature item will be homemade gourmet chocolate candy bars. I've been making them in bulk and they've actually been a lot of fun to make! They last for up to six months at room temperature, longer if frozen, and the flavor possibilities are endless.
So far, my flavors are chocolate brownie (has chunks of my homemade brownie), cake and sprinkles (has chunks of my homemade cake), dark chocolate espresso pretzel, matcha tea toffee and some other fun flavors.
Finally, I will be using one of my baked goods, Confetti Cake, as a way to still get to enjoy baking while driving excitement for the cart at the same time. These mini cakes will have confetti sprinkles on top to align with the candy theme and will not be offered every single week, but rather only when I'm able to bake.

All in all, I am super excited!! I spent a couple of days packaging everything up and feel like I have enough product to get me through several weeks. Fingers crossed and I will keep you posted on how it goes!

Do you make your own gummy bears or buy in bulk and re-package?
